The stone separator is an indispensable machine for farmers whose crops are marked by the presence of stones. This type of machine is designed primarily for removing stones from potatoes, carrots, turnips or celery. The machine is equipped with a propeller, the rotation of which creates a vortex of water, thanks to which the difference in density between the vegetable and the stone causes the latter to fall to the bottom. The vegetables floating in the upper layer of water enter the product bar belt and are transported to the next machine. The stones are discharged from the bottom via a 50 cm wide bar conveyor. The descaler also acts as a pre-soak for root vegetables and protects the next machines in the process line from damage caused by stones.
