The OSM-3 Machine was designed with efficiency and productivity in mind for peeling dried onion skins and chives.
Its primary mechanism is a vibrating grate upon which the onion sits. By moving the onion across this grate, 3 rotating knives (propellers) with a diameter of 90 cm create suction, which removes loose onion skins while simultaneously pulling the dried chives of the onion between the bars of the grate, cutting it off.
The machine is powered by an 16 kW motor, enabling a processing capacity of 1 to 8 tons of onions per hour. The vibrating grate, driven by two vibratory motors, consists of steel rods with a diameter of 10 mm spaced 30 mm apart, ensuring efficient onion peeling.
The height of the blades beneath the grate is adjustable using screws. Additionally, the machine's tilt angle is adjustable, providing flexibility in setting the machine for optimal performance. The propellers rotate at a constant speed, and the moving frequency can be adjusted based on production needs.
Furthermore, a waste collection conveyor belt, 60 cm wide, runs the entire length of the machine.
The machine's construction is robust and durable, made from 3-millimeter thick sheet metal, and the entire structure is powder-coated to protect against corrosion and damage. Weighing 1500 kg, the machine ensures stability and safety during operation, minimizing the risk of displacement or vibration while peeling onions.
The peeler is also available in single- and three-propeller versions (types: OSM-1, OSM-2).
